Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to offer my services as an unpaid volunteer at your museum. I have always loved your facility and spent years wandering through it both as a child and as an adult. I would be honored to offer my services and to help a museum that has meant so much to me.
As a volunteer, I could offer a deep knowledge to the museum. As a student, I focused on the history of our local area and so could help curate exhibits, speak to visitors, and engage with the public. I am also skilled with computers and would be happy to help revise the museum’s website to share it with a wider audience. An updated website will encourage visits and allow people from all over the world to experience what the museum has to offer.
I could work Monday–Wednesday between 1:00–5:00 p.m. and all day on weekends. I would love to volunteer more hours, but those times are best for my schedule because I work at another job on Thursday and Friday and attend classes in the mornings.
